McEwen Acres is an operating family farm that produces organic maple syrup and forage crops (primarily hay for sale to horse farms). We have been producing maple syrup on the farm since the late 1800s and have been certified as a producer of Organic Maple Syrup since 2019.

Our operation features approximately 3600 taps on vacuum which flows to two pumping stations and then on to the sugar house. We use a reverse osmosis system to concentrate the sap before it is processed in a high efficiency wood fired evaporator. We are also using a wireless monitoring system to measure vacuum levels and temperature throughout the sugar bush.
Self guided walking trails provide a view of our beautiful maples and rugged terrain.
