In the small ‘ghost town’ of Uhthoff in Severn Township (just 12 km from downtown Orillia as the crow flies), you’ll come upon Maple Grove Syrup & Sleigh Rides. Within this 50-acre sugar bush of towering maple trees, we produce 100% pure maple syrup on a traditional wood-fired evaporator. Our trees have produced high-quality maple syrup for generations.
We started producing maple syrup with 50 buckets and a large open fire. Today, our renovated sugar camp has a new 3×10 Dominion and Grimm evaporator and we operate with 1200 taps.
At Maple Grove Syrup & Sleigh Rides we offer a fun, family experience with tractor-drawn wagon rides from fall until the snow flies, then we transition over to our sleigh.

During Fall in Love with Maple, we will be offering self-guided walking tours and tractor-drawn wagon rides during your visit. Guests can wander the trails on their own or wait for the wagon to take them through the fields and into our maple bush were they will learn about the art of maple syrup making and enjoy the beautiful Ontario fall!
