The Kemptville Campus operation now tends to 1162 taps over 18 acres of sugarbush. The operation began in 1971 as part of the Kemptville College of Agricultural Technology (est. 1917). The Peter Wensink Maple Forest and the Agroforestry Centre is not only an active sugarbush, but also part of the larger campus forest that is now a certified forest under the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®), a worldwide initiative for sustainable forest management.
Join us Maple Weekend for guided tours of the operation and evaporator demonstration. Enjoy a pancake breakfast, maple taffy, outdoor activities and live music. Fresh maple products will be available for purchase.
