Pancake Wrapped Bacon

This recipe checks all the right boxes: it includes bacon, pancakes, and both are slathered in Sweet Ontario maple syrup (naturally). It’s also super easy to make, which is a win for everyone.

To get started you will need your favourite pancake recipe (we recommend this All Time Favourite Recipe).

Directions:

  1. Cook as many slices of bacon as you want to have pancakes. Each slice of bacon will be used in one pancake.
  2. Prepare your pancake batter.
  3. Pre-heat your griddle or pan.
  4. Spread a thin layer of pancake batter on your pan in a long, narrow strip, as long as a slice of bacon.
  5. Place the bacon on top of the pancake batter.
  6. Cover bottom layer and bacon with a top layer of pancake batter. Try to keep it thin so you don’t get an overly large pancake.
  7. When your pancake is puffy, full of bubbles and lightly brown, flip it over.
  8. Continue cooking until the centre of your pancake is cooked.
  9. Remove from griddle.
  10. Slather with fresh butter and maple syrup and serve.
