Throw these in the oven when you’re also cooking a beef roast or roasted chicken and you’ll love the aroma that will fill the house.
Ingredients
- 4 cups Brussels sprouts trimmed and cut in half
- 6 pieces bacon
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp Sweet Ontario maple syrup
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit
- Line a baking sheet with tinfoil
- Rinse Brussels sprouts and slice in half, lengthwise and place on baking sheet
- Slice bacon and add to the baking sheet
- Drizzle olive oil and maple syrup over the sprouts, then sprinkle with salt and pepper. Mix with a spatula until the sprouts and bacon are coated in the oil and maple syrup mixture
- Roast in the oven between 20 and 30 minutes, checking frequently near the end to make sure they are not burning – Brussels sprouts should be dark from the caramelized maple syrup
- Serve and enjoy
